Structures
This Structures section may very well turn out to be the largest section of the site. Truth told, I am at least as interested in building a town as I am in building a railroad. My interest in urban planning and modelling began in my teen years and I spent a significant portion of my career as a builder, renovating old buildings, over-seeing various aspects of urban renewal projects and specialty woodworking.
Having said that, I decided upon a slightly different approach for this section. Below is a gallery of the various structures in Middletown. Clicking on any of them will take you to a page about the building of that particular structure. Some structures were bought as kits, some were bought "built-up", others were scratch built. Various structures feature different methods and materials. Visiting all of them will give you a good overview of a wide variety modelling techniques.
Please note that although the bridges are not "buildings" and it could be argued that they belong in the Streets section of Scenery, I have included them in this section because they were "fabricated". The projects will appear in the gallery in the order in which they have been or are scheduled to be completed.
