Dave's World-Famous Meatloaf
|
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lb. Lean Ground Beef
- 1 small Onion (chopped fine)
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 2 tbsp. Dark Soya Sauce
- 3/4 cup Dry Bread Crumbs
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 3/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 3/4 tsp. Dry Mustard
- 1/2 tsp. Ginger
- 1/4 tsp. Black Pepper
|
Method:
- Combine the bread crumbs, salt pepper and spices, mixing well.
- Beat the egg, milk, and soya sauce well.
- Add the dry ingredients to the liquid and mix.
- Add the onion and the beef and knead well to blend thoroughly.
- Bake in a loaf pan at 350 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes.

Serving:
I like to serve this with steamed white rice, stir-fried veggies, and I use a sweet and sour pineapple sauce - available in most grocery stores in the Chinese food section. Or, if you prefer, you could use the same sauce as for the meatballs.
Notes:
Every meatloaf recipe I had called for tomato in one form or another. Being allergic, I have to limit the amount of tomato I get in my diet, besides, it gets horribly boring after a while. So I took my famous meatball recipe and turned it into a meatloaf unlike anything you have ever tasted before.
