I ask but there is no answer.
Why will you never answer me?

When I most need to hear your voice,
you turn and hide your face from me.

You promise to take care of me.
I have no doubt, you always do.

But I don't want your promises,
I only want to know the way.

You want my trust, and this you have
but why will you not answer me?

I ask but you won't let me know
the where, the why, the way to go.

If only just one time I knew
the path you want for me to walk.

But ev'ry time I question you,
you tell me trust is all I need.

Just one time, please tell me clearly,
where is it you would have me go?

I ask but there is no answer.
